The Review Room

We (my beagle and I) simply love our Nixy Tahoe Kayak. We have taken it out 6 times, and it is very durable, sturdy and responsive. I got a kayak cart to kind of roll it around so as to avoid scrapping the bottom when putting in or taking out. I use it primarily on small lakes.

I shopped around for a sturdy inflatable kayak that I could use with my dogs and landed on this one. I’ve had it for nearly three years and I expect to use it for many more. I would say I use it moderately, but I haven’t been careful with it. I regularly scratch it going over rocks and I’ve occasionally dragged it while trying to control my dogs - still no holes that need patching. It takes me about 7-9 minutes to inflate the 2-person kayak - the pump is awesome. My only “complaint” is that it is really heavy - the backpack is too heavy for me to carry more than 300 feet, and the roller option doesn’t work too well because the balance is off. I wish it had a longer handle. On the other hand, when a strap broke on the backpack, Nixy sent me a new one immediately. Great customer service! Overall, I highly recommend this kayak. I would buy it again.

I love this kayak! I have only gone out with it once but it was great! I have also been able to get everything into the bag no problem. You just have to make sure you fold the kayak enough times. It is pretty heavy in the bag but it has wheels so you can roll it. My girlfriend helped me lift it to put it on my back and I was able
To get it to the car like that. Assembly is pretty quick, took about 10-15 minutes to inflate and get the seats in. It felt great on the water! Very sturdy - it doesn’t feel like you are in an inflatable. Very happy with this purchase so far and I am very excited to take it to another lake soon.

Customer Service

I purchased the NIXY inflatable kayak. It seems to be made well. My son and I took it out and it was very sturdy. Unfortunately, it was too heavy for me to handle by myself, so I had to return it. The return process went smoothly and I received my refund within a little over a week after I returned it.

Great value

We've only taken this out once so far but it seems like a quality duckie for the price. Instructions could be a little better but then again it's not that difficult. My only complaint is that it's really difficult to fit everything back inside the carry bag when you're done. Not a deal breaker though and I would recommend to others.
