3-Piece Full Carbon Fiber SUP Paddle, 12K Weave
The NIXY 12K Carbon Fiber Pro Paddle is a full carbon fiber paddle board paddle that breaks into three pieces and adjusts from 175 to 215 cm. Shaft and blade are both 100% carbon, so the whole paddle lands at 21 oz. That is lighter than most three-piece paddles selling for twice the price, and you feel it after the first mile.
- 100% carbon fiber shaft and blade, not a carbon shaft with a composite blade
- 21 oz (595 gm) at the 88 blade, one of the lightest 3-piece paddles at any price
- Adjusts 175 to 215 cm with a locking anti-twist clamp that holds your setting
- Two blade sizes: 88 sq in for most paddlers, 94 sq in for bigger paddlers and touring power
- Dihedral blade face with ABS edge reinforcement to shed water evenly and take a hit
- Breaks down to fit an iSUP backpack, a car trunk, or a checked bag
- Ships with a 37.5 in padded paddle bag and a one-year accessory warranty
Built for the water. Inspired by the life around it.
12K or 3K: What the Weave Actually Changes
The K number is the tow count, meaning how many carbon filaments are bundled into each strand of cloth. 3K bundles 3,000. 12K bundles 12,000. A 12K weave reads as a larger, bolder checker pattern. A 3K weave reads fine and tight.
That is the whole difference. Both paddles are 100% carbon, both weigh the same at the same blade size, and both use the same dihedral blade and ABS edge. Stiffness comes from the fiber and the layup, not the weave count. Choose the 12K because you like how it looks, and know you are giving up nothing to get it. Read the full breakdown.
Choosing Your Blade Size
Blade area sets your cadence. A smaller blade moves less water per stroke, so you paddle at a quicker rhythm with less load on your shoulders. A larger blade loads up more per stroke and suits heavier paddlers and long touring days.
- 88 Standard: 88 sq in blade, 28.5 mm shaft, for paddlers roughly 140 to 190 lb
- 94 Large: 94 sq in blade, 28.5 mm shaft, for paddlers roughly 185 lb and up
For length, start around 8 to 10 inches over your height and adjust from there. The 175 to 215 cm range covers paddlers from about 5 ft to 6 ft 4 in.
