The 9 inch race profile delivers the tracking and glide you want for fitness paddles, weekend racing, and long-distance touring, while the flexible TPU layup bends on impact instead of breaking on a rocky takeout. Black finish pairs cleanly with most board graphics.

Yes if your board has a US fin box. That covers the full NIXY G5 lineup (Newport, Venice, Huntington, Monterey, Manhattan, Malibu) and most race or touring SUPs from other brands. Screw and plate included.

Material. Both share the same race shape. The race nylon is stiff, which transfers paddle power into glide most efficiently but cracks on hard impact. The TPU race bends on impact and returns to shape, which trades a small amount of stiffness for serious impact protection. Pick TPU for rocky launches and mixed conditions, nylon for clean water races.

Slide the fin tab into the US fin box, drop in the included screw and plate, finger-tighten. Tool-less on most installs. TPU is forgiving on threads, so do not overtighten.

Flexible TPU (thermoplastic polyurethane) with a race-shape profile, black finish. TPU bends on impact, which means a rocky launch or shallow takeout that would crack a stiff race fin just nudges this one out of the way. Lighter and more durable than a stock plastic race fin.

Choose the TPU race when you race or tour in mixed conditions, when shallow takeouts or rocky shorelines are part of the day, or when you have broken a stiff race fin before. Choose carbon when you race on clean water, want maximum stiffness, and can baby the fin between sessions.
