Manhattan

Very happy with this board moving up from a newport. It will challenge you but it is worth the difference in performance. Wicked fast when you get up to speed and tracks true. But as noted by others, tippy in chop but I’m finding I can ride the rails pretty well once my ankles and core are warmed up. Highly recommended for intermediate to advanced paddlers.

Awesome fast board

It’s easy to go farther on this board. It took a little bit to get used to the slight rocking and narrower width, but once I started paddling it was stable and fast!

Amazing!

First of all, I’m a 63 year old grandma-not a racer or anything-so this is a review from that point of view. :relaxed:️ I’ve had a Newport for about 3 years, which I adore, but was looking for some speed and distance. I expected to be able to go faster and track better on the Manhattan-but the way it was different from the Newport surprised me. Because it’s less stable I quickly learned you’ve got to stay loose (which is an important skill I’m always trying to learn :relaxed:️). I relaxed my knees, then my hips and then realized-yes, even those ankles need to relax! I began to feel at one with the water. My paddling technique quickly improved AND I was going faster! The board just requires it of you. Nixy products and the Nixy company are just the best and they just keep on getting better-I’m a lifelong, loyal customer. You can’t go wrong with any of their products but if there happens to be another SUP yoga-ing (on my Newport of course), recreational paddle boarding grandma out there wondering about the Manhattan as a second board-I highly recommend!

Perfect lightweight board with speed!

Love my new G4! Easy to inflate and a dream on the water. I am using the board mostly in channels but it takes mild chop on the ocean pretty well.
